Prime Day, Amazon’s biggest sales event, begins now with thousands of deals to be had across every category imaginable. There’s a lot to sort through, so here, I’ll be covering all the best discounts for the home inside and out, focusing on furniture — and décor — for the bedroom, living room, home office, kids’ rooms, and garden and patio. To help narrow down the best of what’s on sale, I’ve gone through our archives to pull stuff we’ve written about before — including products I personally love — like a solid-wood Zinus bed we use in the guest room; a mosquito repellent that actually works on me, a mosquito magnet; and a bidet I can’t imagine life without. I’ve also included a standing desk that comes with drawers; mail-order house plants that look great upon arrival; and a not-bad-looking air conditioner, among other hard-to-pass-up products— and making sure that the deals are actually worth it, skipping those that are merely okay.
I’ll be updating this post throughout the next two days, so keep checking back for more deals. To see what else is on sale, head to our Prime Day hub right over here, where you’ll find a bunch more things to make your space more comfortable, including bedding and mattresses, cleaning and organization supplies, stuff for your kitchen and bathroom, beauty, fashion, baby gear, and a whole lot more. Prime Day ends Wednesday, so if you see something you like, don’t dillydally. Below, the best Amazon Prime Day home deals that are actually good. (We’re done updating this story for the day, but check back bright and early tomorrow morning for day two of Prime Day for even more deals.)

Get your mattress off the floor and gain some underbed storage space with this simple metal bed frame that’s got over 27,000 positive reviews.

A king-size bed for under $200 is a steal.

I personally own a version of this bed and use it in our guest room. It’s made of solid wood and very sturdy.

If you prefer an upholstered bed, this highly reviewed one is $200.

This end-of-bed bench is upholstered in velvet and has a modern brass-finished metal base that looks much more expensive than its sale price.

Here’s something a bit more polished thanks to a finished edge.

If you prefer a pattern, Loloi makes some nice, vintage-inpsired area rugs.

And if you want something fluffy underfoot, check out this softy, plush shag rug that reviewers love.

These Shaker-style spindle chairs would look great around a traditional dining table.

Work-from-home is more or less here to stay, so consider getting a real office chair like this ergonomic one that can help you maintain your posture and keep you more comfortable.

Here’s something a little more stylish. It comes in green, black, and sky blue, in addition to this gray shown here.

Or ease into it by trying a balance disc instead, which will still give you a bit of a workout but offer more stability than going full-ball.

Use this expert-approved laptop desk in bed, on the couch — or put it on top of your kitchen counter and turn it into a standing desk.

Brighten up the room with this lemon-and-mint scented candle.

Treat yourself to a more elevated experience with these hand-poured candles from Los Angeles–based natural skin-care company Salt & Stone that are 20 percent off.

Replace your musty bath towels with this set of four from Amazon Basics that has a GSM of 500 and a pleasing, dimpled texture.

This stone bath mat sucks up water, dries immediately, and, more importantly, doesn’t get mildewy like traditional terry bath mats, according to Strategist writer Erin Schwartz, thanks to its absorbent material, diatomaceous earth.

Here’s a TikTok-teen-approved sunset lamp for $13.

A three-pack of smart plugs for over 30 percent off will come in handy for various lamps and other electronics around your house.

If you’re in the market for a smart thermometer, look no further than the Google Nest thermostat, a pioneer in the field.

It’s only going to get hotter from here on out, so you might want to up your air-conditioning game with our Best-in-Class pick from Frigidaire, which is over 20 percent off for Prime Day. (I bought a smaller version of this for the guest room last year, and it’s been performing beautifully so far.)

Here’s a portable AC from Black and Decker that has over 42,000 positive reviews on Amazon if for some reason you’re unable to install a window unit. For Prime Day, it’s nearly 30 percent off.

The Tushy bidet is an excellent starter bidet for those who are bidet-curious, and for Prime Day, it’s even more enticing with its discount.

This is the bidet we use at home and I can’t imagine life without it.

I am a mosquito magnet and Thermacell’s repellents are the only things that keep those suckers away from me.
